Finding Your Reason to Fight Through Life's Challenges
Do you ever get that feeling that you were meant for more in life?
That the story you’ve been telling yourself just doesn’t cut it anymore.
Do you ever feel left out, like the world has spun ahead of you and you’re still stuck trying to figure out who you are?
Like life keeps spinning on and you’re stuck drifting further and further away from the action?
What do you do when you can’t find the reason to fight anymore?
When the dreams you once believed in don’t excite you anymore...
What do you do when you hit the peak-
When you achieved your goals and you’re suddenly unsure of where to go?
How do you find the zest that carries you to the finish line when no one is watching?
How do you find a calling, a purpose… DESTINY?
How do you discover who you were born to be?
When your own ambition chokes you with the pressure for results and you start to wonder,
“Do I have it all wrong?”
“Is this all there is?”
When things get tough, when your current lifestyle is no longer an option, when you’ve drawn your line in the sand and are ready for a permanent revolution of the way you live your life...
You need a north star.
Something to pull you forward - you need a calling that cuts through all the noise.
You need to get clear on the things that give you momentum, that give you the strength to power through your old habits, to burn through your old hesitations.
If you’re searching for your purpose in life,
Keep going.
Further, deeper, harder. Discover a path you’ve never dreamed of.
Discover a skill you never had.
Make a friend you never knew before.
Learn to love when life is hard.
Learn to say no to the things that drag you down.
And celebrate the small victories in life.

Read the biographies of the heroes of our time and know that even the great among us walk a meandering path of discovery and struggle.
Steve Jobs dropped out of college and studied calligraphy, then later connected the dots to Apple’s typography.
JK Rowling wrote Harry Potter while supporting her daughter on welfare.
Elon Musk worked in a boiler room shoveling dirt.
I believe in you.
I believe in the power you have to change your trajectory.
I believe in this moment.
I believe in the power of this moment to change your life.
I believe that every moment can be a moment that will define who we are as individuals.
I believe every moment is sacred, and that in appreciating this moment as one that can give you the clarity to live a life of purpose, you will find the courage to take your next step.
And when enough steps are taken in life, you will eventually reach greatness.
So don’t get down on yourself for not knowing all the answers.
Don’t compare yourself to the worlds leaders and feel like a loser.
Do not let the torment of your unrealized ambitions beat you to the ground,
Take a breath, and think about how small we are in this universe
How lucky we are to be here, to live, to breathe, to think.
When you do get knocked down, rise up.
Face your fear.
Face your insecurities, face your self doubt.
Get out there and swing the bat.
Stand up and let the world know you’re alive.
I wrote this as I was in the process of stepping away from a company I had spent 4 years building. My identity had become so wrapped up in the success of the business that when my heart was no longer in it, I didn't know what to do. Being able to let go of something that isn't right for you can be extremely difficult, especially if your new direction is still unclear. I guarantee you though, if you spend the energy to make that new path, the one that is calling you from the distance to walk it... if you begin now, and continue to get clear on what it looks like, you'll be so grateful you took that leap.
