Do you ever get that feeling that you were meant for more in life?
That the story you’ve been telling yourself just doesn’t cut it anymore.
Do you ever feel left out, like the world has spun ahead of you and you’re still stuck trying to figure out who you are?
Like life keeps spinning on and you’re stuck drifting further and further away from the action?
What do you do when you can’t find the reason to fight anymore?
When the dreams you once believed in don’t excite you anymore...
What do you do when you hit the peak-
When you achieved your goals and you’re suddenly unsure of where to go?
How do you find the zest that carries you to the finish line when no one is watching?
How do you find a calling, a purpose… DESTINY?
How do you discover who you were born to be?
When your own ambition chokes you with the pressure for results and you start to wonder,
“Do I have it all wrong?”
“Is this all there is?”
When things get tough, when your current lifestyle is no longer an option, when you’ve drawn your line in the sand and are ready for a permanent revolution of the way you live your life...
You need a north star.
Something to pull you forward - you need a calling that cuts through all the noise.
You need to get clear on the things that give you momentum, that give you the strength to power through your old habits, to burn through your old hesitations.
If you’re searching for your purpose in life,
Keep going.
Further, deeper, harder. Discover a path you’ve never dreamed of.
Discover a skill you never had.
Make a friend you never knew before.
Learn to love when life is hard.
Learn to say no to the things that drag you down.
And celebrate the small victories in life.

Read the biographies of the heroes of our time and know that even the great among us walk a meandering path of discovery and struggle.
Steve Jobs dropped out of college and studied calligraphy, then later connected the dots to Apple’s typography.
JK Rowling wrote Harry Potter while supporting her daughter on welfare.
Elon Musk worked in a boiler room shoveling dirt.
I believe in you.
I believe in the power you have to change your trajectory.
I believe in this moment.
I believe in the power of this moment to change your life.
I believe that every moment can be a moment that will define who we are as individuals.
I believe every moment is sacred, and that in appreciating this moment as one that can give you the clarity to live a life of purpose, you will find the courage to take your next step.
And when enough steps are taken in life, you will eventually reach greatness.
So don’t get down on yourself for not knowing all the answers.
Don’t compare yourself to the worlds leaders and feel like a loser.
Do not let the torment of your unrealized ambitions beat you to the ground,
Take a breath, and think about how small we are in this universe
How lucky we are to be here, to live, to breathe, to think.
When you do get knocked down, rise up.
Face your fear.
Face your insecurities, face your self doubt.
Get out there and swing the bat.
Stand up and let the world know you’re alive.
I wrote this as I was in the process of stepping away from a company I had spent 4 years building. My identity had become so wrapped up in the success of the business that when my heart was no longer in it, I didn't know what to do. Being able to let go of something that isn't right for you can be extremely difficult, especially if your new direction is still unclear. I guarantee you though, if you spend the energy to make that new path, the one that is calling you from the distance to walk it... if you begin now, and continue to get clear on what it looks like, you'll be so grateful you took that leap.
I created this video because I was tired of shooting myself down whenever I scrolled through social media... because I was tired of seeing amazing people forget that they have so much to celebrate, simply because their peers seemingly have everything. Watch this video, and remind yourself that you have so much to be grateful for. The message here can keep you from getting discouraged when things get tough.
They say the grass is always greener on the other side.
No matter how hard you work or how far you come - there's always somebody who's one step ahead of you, shamelessly flaunting everything you think you're missing in your life.
Sometimes it feels like everyone else got lucky - and you got scraps from the table.
At least that's how it goes when you start comparing your weaknesses to the strengths of others.
Nobody's perfect.
We all face challenges and shoulder hardship.
Each of us embarks on our own personal journey, and our unique imperfections make us all incredibly beautiful.
So why then do we get stuck in this loop comparing our faults to the achievements of others?
Because it's easier - it's easier to resign to live in resentment of the strengths of others than to find the strength to stand on our own.
Because it's easier to compare our shortcomings in complacent defeat than to celebrate our strengths in active gratitude.
Because it's easier to make excuses than to take responsibility.
Because no matter how wealthy or wise you become, comparison will find a way to creep into your thoughts. It’s ruthless, persistent, and always lurking around the corner.
it doesn't care how many likes you have or how fast your car is.
Comparison will show up - and when it does you must defeat it.
Because you are too unique to fit in someone else's box.
Because life is short enough already.
So when it feels like the grass is greener on the other side...
Close your eyes and realize it's simply comparison diluting you.
And when it feels like the clock is ticking on your chance to shine - like the friends you went to school with are all buying houses and landing Instagram fame or dream jobs -
Remember that their story has nothing to do with yours.
And when it seems like success is this mirage in the desert, reserved for only the privileged elite…
Be as an athlete - relentlessly focused on improving your personal best.
Keep your head in the game and strive to make your next step better than the last.
And those days when it feels like you're falling behind…
learn to see the achievements of others as inspiration, as this beacon of hope guiding you to the finish line.
Because if you want to grow, the only person you need to be comparing yourself with is you yesterday. Incremental growth is the secret sauce to all of life's power.
It doesn't matter how beaten or lost you feel - it doesn't matter what stage you are at now... if you start moving one step in front of the other - little by little you will become stronger with each and every passing day.
But if you take the easy road, and you compare your weaknesses to the strengths of others... if you talk yourself out of taking action - you are robbing yourself from everything good in life.
So when the grass seems greener on the other side, and you start to wonder if you're falling behind…
Make it a point to discover and cultivate pride for who you are inside.
And remember that this life is a journey you may begin fresh right now.
