Packed with ferocity, primal sensuality and simplistic modern minimalism, Tiger Tastes Blood captures a powerful fluid grace and a primal energy with the strong lines of the female in the painting. The unique image crop intensifies the movement of the pose.
The painting began with a photoshoot with nude model coated in white paint to texture the skin. After capturing this image in a photo, it was transferred it to a halftone pattern, printed and hand-burned it into a silk screen emulsion. After silkscreening enamel to the wood by hand, it was finished with several intricate details and splashes in black and white enamel. The red stripe in the center of the painting enhances the aesthetic experience of this Andy Warhol inspired screen printed painting of a nude female body.
